Squirrels have overrun our neighborhood and are destroying EVERYTHING. Patio furniture, umbrellas, flower pots, you name it. Is trap number 822155 absolutely secure (the drop door) so that the varmint can’t squeeze out? I had to return the HAVAHART I bought, as the squirrel simply pushed out and bounded away within 2 minutes. The door was a joke. The mechanics of it were fine, but it did not HOLD firm and tight till I could get out the back door. Lana, Houston TX
The door on our 5″ x 5″ x 18″ Live Trap locks when it drops which is why it is a superior trap and as far as we’re concerned, the best one in this size range. No way anything is getting out once that door falls down. In fact the locking mechanism is so good it can make for a tricky set but in the end, the extra security is well worth having.
