PT-ADVANCE 8 OZ GRAN

PT-ADVANCE GRAN

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Wheat germ looking bait granule which uses some type of protein attractant that carpenter ants love. It has a slight odor like a type of pet food if you open the container and smell it. However, once applied, you cannot smell it nor detect it is present. Furthermore, because it is a bait, Carpenter Ant Granules are among the safest material that can be used for this pest.

WHERE TO USE IT: Outside around the perimeter of the home making sure you don’t get it too close to where you applied any of the liquid foundation treatments since that product will contaminate the bait. You can also use it in turf, around the base of trees, along fence rows, on railroad ties, garden dividers and basically anywhere you see activity and don’t want carpenter ants to get established.

RATE OF APPLICATION: 1 lb of the granules is enough to treat up to 1 acre. However, when treating around a tree or other areas where you are seeing a lot of trailing ants, be sure to use at least 1.5 – 3 ounces just to insure they gather up enough product to knock them out.

BORACARE GAL

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Clear, odorless, molasses like material which mixes with water. Once mixed, it becomes like water. Apply it with a pump sprayer, paint brush or misting machine.

PRODUCT FEATURES:    Treatments are odorless and long lasting and get absorbed “into” the wood, not on the surface. Allow the application to cure for 72 hours and by then the treated wood will show no sign anything was ever applied. In other words, there will be no discoloration or smell since Borathor is colorless and odor free. More importantly, treated wood can be cut, stained and used for any project safely with no inherent risk following the application.

Please note: If you intend on using a wood sealer over the treatment, plan on waiting at least 2 weeks following the application to ensure the wood is totally dry prior to sealing it. Sealers like Thompson or varnish can “pull out” a range of resins, sap or solvents from the treatment which can then be visible in the finish. Paint or stain can be used within a week of being applied but sealants are best applied no sooner than 2 weeks.

LENGTH OF RESIDUAL:  Treatments will last many years. A treated deck exposed to rain and sun will be protected for 3-5 years. In the home, the treatment will be sheltered from the weather which will allow it to last indefinitely when used in attics, crawl spaces or wall voids.

TARGET PESTS: Powder post beetles, termites, carpenter ants, decay fungi, old house borers and basically any type of insect which wants to eat wood.

RATE OF APPLICATION: This depends on the thickness of the wood being treated. Mix one part Borathor to one part water and expect to get 400-1000 sq/ft protected depending on wood thickness.

Prothor SC 2

Prothor SC 2

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:     Odorless  concentrate classified as a “non repellent” which means insects won’t know its present where applied. This means you can use this active without spooking or chasing insects elsewhere. Designed for use inside crawlspaces, under foundations and around the home, Prothor is a good active for “communal” pests like termites, ants and most any garden or turf pest around the home like grubs and beetles.

WHERE TO USE IT:    Inside the home Prothor can be applied to structural members infested with wood destroying pests, wall voids and sub-slab for termite prevention. In the yard, treat the soil around the home as well as grass, mulch and gardens. Prothor can also be used as a systemic on trees and shrubs for long term control of wood boring pests and insects which target plant foliage.

RATE OF APPLICATION:     When spraying it out over grass or foliage in a standard PUMP SPRAYER, add  .3 to .6 oz per gallon of water.

When treating ants in the yard, add 2.5 oz to our 20 GALLON HOSE END SPRAYER and then fill the sprayer up to the 5 gallon line. Hook the sprayer to a garden hose and spray the entire tank over 5,000 sq/ft. Retreat monthly when ants are seen until they are gone. Once gone, treat every 2 months to ensure they do not return.

SOIL DRENCHING DIRECTIONS:

When soil drenching shrubs and trees, use .1 – .2 oz per inch of tree diameter. So 1-2 oz per 10″ of tree width. Add the chemical to a 5 gallon bucket filled with 3-4 gallons of water. Make 4-8 holes for every bucket you need to use so for a tree 20″ wide, you should use two buckets and 10-15 holes around the tree. Use a stake, something like rebar, to create holes 1-2 feet deep. The liquid should then be poured out over these holes slow enough so the holes will absorb the fluid evenly. Drench within the “drip line” of the tree limbs but not closer than twice the width of the trees trunk to the base of the tree. So if the drip line is 10 feet out from the trunk and the trunk is 2 feet wide. drenching 4-6 feet out from the trunk would be fine.

When treating for termites, mix 1 oz in 2 gallons of water and apply the 2 gallons of mixed solution to every 10 feet of foundation around the structure. Dig a small trench prior to treating to insure the material stays in place during the application. Retreat every 5 years.

For flower beds, plant foliage and turf, .3 to .6 oz per gallon of water per 1,000 sq/ft will control most pests.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Low odor white liquid which is mixed with water and sprayed for pest control. It is a micro encapsulate which means it lays on treated surfaces better than emulsifiable concentrates and will last longer and be more active because of this physical trait.

WHERE TO USE IT:   Labeled for use both inside and outside the home on a wide range of pest. On the outside foundation wall and siding, create a wide band of treated surface to stop spiders, scorpions, crickets, roaches and other pests (listed below) from entering. You may need to spray the whole side of a building if the migration is severe. Also use it along the border of where mulch, turf and cement meet. Can be applied around plants and shrubs, air conditioners and decks.

For inside the home, spray carpets, furniture, baseboards and other areas where pests are active.

RATE OF APPLICATION: You may need to treat every few weeks for several weeks straight when treating outside during heavy pest pressure. In the home, treatments will last 1-2 months for preventive applications but plan on spraying once a month when treating an ongoing active problem.

MIXTURE RATES:  Add .75-1.5 oz per gallon of water and plan on spraying the gallon over 1,000 sq/ft of surface area. The treatment will not stain but remember, water is the carrier so only spray what you know will be okay when wet by water. Allow treatments to dry 2-4 hours and once dry, go back to using the area as before.

TARGET PESTS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:     Ants, army worms, asian lady beetles, bees, bedbugs, bluegrass weevil, boxelder bugs, carpenter ants, carpenter bees, carpet beetles, cecid flies, centipedes, chiggers, chinch bugs, cloth moths, cockroaches, crickets, cutworms, earwigs, elm leaf beetles, elm spanworms, fall webworms, fire ants, firebrats, flea beetles, fleas, flies, fungus gnats, gnats, grass hoppers, green striped mapleworm, ground beetles, gypsy moths, hornets, japanese beetles, june beetles, killer bees, lace bugs, lady bugs, leaf feeding caterpillars, leaf hoppers, leaf rollers, leaf skeletonizers, lice, loopers, mealybugs, midges, millipedes, mimosa webworms, mites, mole crickets, mosquitoes, moths, oak worms, pantry pests, pillbugs, pine sawflies, pine shot beetles, pint tip moths, pinyon midges, plant bugs, redhumped caterpillar, red imported fire ants, sawfly larvae, scale insects, scorpions, silverfish, sod webworms, sowbugs, spanworms, spiders,  springtails, tent caterpillars, termites, ticks, yellowjackets, yellownecked caterpillar, wasps, webworms, willow leaf beetles, wood infesting beetles.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:    32 oz. ready-to-use spray that gets hooked to a garden hose and then sprayed out over turf, shrubs, mulch and garden beds. This low odor active will control a range of pests including June Bugs, Billbugs, Masked & European Chafers, Japanese Beetle & Oriental Beetle, Sod Webworms and Cinch Bugs. Treatments will last up to 30 days and longer if absorbed by plants and shrubs and distributed into their foliage.

What makes this active unique is that unlike traditional pesticides insects can detect, Systemic RTS uses a non-repellent so insects do not know they’re walking over anything which can cause them harm. They’ll readily pick up some of the chemical and bring it back to their nests where it will be shared with other members of their colony. For this reason, Systemic RTS is a good option for communal pests like ants, termites, carpenter ants and more.

The spray is odorless and can be used safely where people and pets are active in the yard.

WHERE TO USE IT:    Sytemic RTS is to be used on shrubs, trees, lawns and gardens to control a wide range of pests including ants, aphids, leafminers, leaf hoppers, gypsy moths, weevils, psylids, webworms, hornworms, spruce bud worms, pine sawflies, elm leaf beetle and grasshoppers.

This package comes in a 32 oz hose-end applicator so you only need to hook it up to your garden hose and start spraying. Target pests won’t run or hide from the treatment but they also will not die for 2-3 days following the treatment so its important to realize the active will take a few days to do its job. But this is very much by design. Repeat application every 14 days until the targeted pests are gone and then once every 2 months to ensure they do not return.

For use on home lawns to control a range of larval insect pests including mole crickets, white grubs, sod webworms, fall armyworms, chinch bugs, hyperodes weevil and billbugs.

RATE OF COVERAGE:    The 32 oz container comes with its own hose-end applicator and will cover up to 5,000 sq/ft making it ideal for small yards.
