I’D LIKE TO KNOW IF SPRAYING WHOLE CONTROL GALLON IN MY YARD IS SAFE FOR MY DOG. THERE IS A SKUNK DIGGING IN MY YARD AND I WANT TO TREAT WITH DELTAGARD GRANULES AND WHOLE CONTROL BUT DON’T WANT TO HARM MY DOG.

When used properly, these products can be safely used around people and pets. The key is to follow the label and follow some common sense logic. We also recommend watching the Safety Video that appears on the Deltagard product page. It covers all the precautions you should take when using this material but here’s a brief summary.

Basically, keep the pet and children away from the area you’re treating. Next, apply the DELTAGARD GRANULES at the labeled rate. When done properly using a GRANULE SPREADER, there will be very little hazard or risk to people or pets because the product will be dispersed over a large area. This means there will be little to no exposure to anyone who walks over the treated area.

Next, spray the WHOLE CONTROL overt the top. The spraying of Whole Control will both help to water in the granules and make the dirt bad tasting so the skunk will ignore treated areas.

Skunks digging in the yard will commonly happen in the winter and spring as they’re looking for food and grubs which make for a great meal. By treating the grubs with the Deltagard you’ll be reducing the available food for local skunks and when combined with the repelling Whole Control Spray, you should be able to chase them off your lawn and stop the damage.
